“Critics are like eunuchs in a harem; they know how it’s done, they’ve seen it done every day, but they’re unable to do it themselves.” – Brendan Behan

That’s me. A spectator. A voyeur. A eunuch in a harem.

But who says I can’t bring life to the party too?

I’ve decided to start writing gig blogs as a memory-aid and thought to myself, “Why not share it with other people?” And that’s where you come in.

If you’re interested in seeing another perspective of recent gigs you’ve been to, would have liked to have been to or simply hear more about live performances here in sunny Scotland, then it’s time to bookmark this site now.

I’ve been going to music gigs ever since my first live show in 1999 (Garbage at the Glasgow SECC) and have been interested in music ever since I decided to expand my horizons beyond the music fed to us through the usual media.

I listen to most alternative music and go to different gigs that reflect that. For a more in depth idea of what gigs you can expect me to cover, you can check out my Lastfm profile here or simply look through my older blog posts for gigs I’ve been to in the past.

Questions, comments and criticisms are always welcome – thanks for reading!
